Ultrasonic Sludge Modification Technology

The combination of ultrasonic cavitation and a specialized reactor efficiently breaks down sludge solids into fine particles.

Sludge discharged from biological treatment is finely ground using ultrasonic processing, and the ground sludge is reintroduced into the biological treatment process to be broken down into biogas.

When combined with the sludge digestion process, this improves digestion efficiency, reducing solids while increasing biogas production.

This system is installed upstream of the sludge digester to improve digestion efficiency, or to break down digested sludge into finer particles and return it to the digester to promote further digestion of undigested sludge, or to serve both purposes and significantly improve digestion efficiency. Improved digestion efficiency reduces the amount of solids discharged after the digestion process and is expected to increase biogas production.
